Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed in regards to the significant variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The service position established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
